The Innocence Lost National Initiative began in 2003 in conjunction with the Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Their combined efforts were aimed at addressing the growing problem of domestic sex trafficking of children in the United States. Agent Steve Vienneau will speak about the collaborative model that the Innocence Lost National Initiative has implemented and how it applies to human trafficking and child sexual exploitation in Suffolk County.
