Stress, Resilience, & Sanity Techniques to Regain Your Sanity, Reclaim Your Health & Find Some Peace
Eva M. Selhub, M.D., Senior Staff Physician at the Benson Henry Institute for Mind / Body Medicine at the MA General Hospital.
Professionals who work in child welfare, law enforcement, healthcare and mental health agencies are exposed to stress and trauma as part of their everyday job responsibilities. The side effects of these life’s everyday stressors are natural and sometimes helpful, but when they go on for too long they can lead to compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and a list of debilitating ailments that are now so common we assume they are unavoidable.
Dr. Selhub gives a practical yet heartfelt lecture, filled with tools and techniques to rid oneself of the effects of life’s stressors and shape an empowered professional future. Dr. Selhub will teach participants about stress physiology and explain the hard science behind the benefits of deliberately shifting into a place of positive physiology. Participants will learn helpful techniques that will enable them to help others find balance and clarity of mind under stressful circumstances.
