Avery Avalos Olmstead is an undergraduate student at Northeastern University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology, with academic interests in mental health, criminology, and advocacy. Avery is currently on co-op at the CAC as the Multidisciplinary Team Assistant supporting the work of the MDT Program and its partners by assisting with the intake process and data system. She is excited to help contribute to the CAC’s overall mission through its trauma-informed approach. 

Avery is actively involved on campus in several student leadership and programming organizations that focus on community engagement and global experiences. Avery graduated high school in California with the State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and was recognized with honors including the President’s Volunteer Service Award. They also gained leadership experience through mental health initiatives and community programming, including organizing a district-wide suicide prevention walk.  

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, exploring new cultures, and spending time with friends and family.
