In her role as the Support To End Exploitation Now (SEEN) Program Assistant on CO-OP, Ariel supports the intake and maintenance of cases in the CAC’s child trafficking and sexual exploitation database. She is a third-year undergraduate student studying Criminal Justice and Political Science at Northeastern University, where she is involved with research on multidisciplinary treatment approaches for human trafficking victims. As the current president of the student organization Splash, she teaches a class each semester to local high school students on spotting the signs of human trafficking. Her work with the Boston People’s Response campaign involves advocacy for community access to trauma-informed mental health crisis response and resources. Her previous professional experiences include years spent working with children of all abilities as a figure skating instructor and camp counselor, as well as building homes in Mexico each summer with her church as a youth group leader. She is eager to learn and engage with SEEN in their nationally recognized multidisciplinary approach used to support victims of commercial sex trafficking.
