Susan Goldfarb has been part of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County (CAC) since its inception and has served as Executive Director since 2002. In addition to overseeing the operations of the organization, she facilitates the CAC’s Interagency Leadership Team and fosters partnerships with organizations throughout Suffolk County. During Susan’s tenure, the CAC has strategically expanded its services to better support children and families; new services include family advocacy and evidence-based mental services, as well as programming to prevent and address child trafficking.

Susan serves as the Chair of the CAC’s Support to End Exploitation Now (SEEN) Steering Committee and is a member of the Human Trafficking Working Group of the Governor’s Council on Sexual and Domestic Violence.  She is active on a statewide and national level in collaborating with other leaders within the children’s advocacy center movement and provides training and technical assistance both locally and nationally.

Susan has more than 30 years of experience in the field of child abuse and mental health, including clinical work with abused and traumatized children, forensic interviewing, and interagency partnerships. She believes that every child exposed to violence deserves the coordinated services of a children’s advocacy center and the opportunity to heal and thrive.

Susan earned her bachelor's degree at Brown University and a MSW from the Boston University School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts.
