Parenting Safe Children - East Boston Public Library

Surviving R. Kelly. Finding Neverland. #MeToo. Clergy abuse. Sexual abuse of unaccompanied immigrant minors.

Every day, we hear about child sexual abuse in the news.

You might be wondering...how can I prevent this from happening? What do I do if I suspect a child is being abused?

Join us for a free workshop at the East Boston Public Library (365 S Bremen St, Boston, MA 02128) on Thursday, May 30, 2019, 6:00-8:00 PM.

You will learn:

  • How to identify when an adult may be “grooming” a child for sexual abuse
  • Signs of sexual abuse in children
  • How to respond to disclosures or concerns of child sexual abuse
  • How the CAC of Suffolk County can provide support
  • Ways to protect children from sexual abuse by talking with children about boundaries and body safety, and monitoring children’s relationships with others
