Parents Preventing Child Abuse Webinar: Preparing for a Safe Summer at Camp


Join us to learn how to increase your child's safety as they meet camp counselors and spend time with new friends at camp this summer!

You'll learn strategies to prevent grooming, encourage safe body boundaries, and access support from the CAC, the leading agency in Suffolk County on child abuse prevention, recognition, and response.

¡Acompáñenos para aprender cómo aumentar la seguridad de su hijo mientras se reúne con los monitores  y pasa tiempo con nuevos amigos en el campamento de verano!

Aprenderá estrategias para prevenir el engaño o grooming, fomentar límites corporales seguros y acceder al apoyo del CAC, la agencia líder en el condado de Suffolk en materia de prevención, detección y respuesta ante el abuso infantil.

PRESENTERS

Erica Chepulis, LCSWTraining Program Manager, CAC of Suffolk County

As the Training Program Manager at the Children's Advocacy Center of Suffolk County, Erica leads the Training & Outreach Program in educating professionals and community members to prevent, recognize, and respond to child abuse. In her role, she conducts strategic outreach efforts to ensure all members of Suffolk County have access to critical child safety information, develops and facilitates trainings, and designs effective resources to engage caregivers, professionals, and youth in child abuse prevention.

Erica earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Wheelock College while completing an internship with the Department of Children and Families. She earned her Master's in Social Work from Salem State University while interning with Big Sister Association in the Site-Based Mentoring program, where she facilitated social-emotional groups for girls and their mentors. She became a Licensed Certified Social Worker in 2020. Prior to joining the CAC, Erica worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn as the Education Director and focused on developing and implementing high-yield programming in STEM, the arts, citizenship, and social-emotional learning for youth of all ages. Erica is passionate about empowering others with skills to promote child safety.  

Zoe Sachs | Community Outreach Coordinator, CAC of Suffolk County

As the Community Outreach Coordinator, Zoe works with the Training Program Manager to educate professionals and community members in child abuse prevention, recognition, and response.

Prior to joining the CAC, Zoe worked with Family Community Resources, Inc. of Brockton, where she created and facilitated three new programs designed for low-income, high-risk minority youth. Each program tackles a different approach regarding teen dating and sexual violence including an education-as-prevention program, a peer support program, and a school-based intervention program.
