In-Person Workshop: Safety Over Silence: Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse - Chelsea Public Library
Do you want to learn how to protect the children in your life from sexual abuse? Do you want to understand the signs of sexual abuse and how to minimize the risk for your child?
This free workshop will help adults:
- Define "child sexual abuse" and learn the red flags of adult "grooming behaviors.
- Understand the signs of child abuse and how to respond.
- Gain skills to protect children, including how to talk with them about this topic and minimize risk.
- Learn about the services provided by the Children's Advocacy Center of Suffolk County.
Food will be provided and there will be a raffle for a $50 grocery store gift card. RSVPs are encouraged but not required.
